Somaliland’s Civil Aviation Ministry sends ten employees to Nairobi to pursue further studies

Hargeisa- Somaliand’s Civil Aviation and Air Transport Ministry has on Sunday held a farewell party for staffers that will leave for Kenya in order to be trained for air traffic where they will guide planes during the landing and takeoff.

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has sponsored the ten youngsters who will be going to Kenya to broaden their knowledge regarding aeronautics.

The ten youngsters are the winners of an examination that ICAO set and have been given the opportunity to go to Kenya to further their studies.

Director General of Civil Aviation Ministry Hon. Omar Abdi Adan who spoke at the farewell party that took place the ministry’s premises has told that they were the winners of total of 1200 exam candidates that sat for the test.

He urged the youngsters to benefit from the training that they provided to go overseas and to invest the knowledge will be gained to their home country.

He also reminded the ten youngsters that they must show a sense of patriotism and that they represent Somaliland.
