Somaliland: president Silanyo off to UK

HARGEISA- Somaliland President H.E Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud Silanyo leading a high level delegation compromising of Ministers business associates embarked on a trip to UK and departed from Egal airport. Mr. Silanyo is due to make shortstop over at Addis Ababa, Ethiopian capital before he continues to his trip to England.

President Silanyo is accompanied by foreign Affairs Minister and International Cooperation Hon. Mohamed Bihi Yonis, Commerce and Investment Minister Mr Muse Qasim and the country’s First Lady Ms. Amina Weris.

The president is due to attend an international summit that is due to kick off in London on the 14th Oct. Developing Markets Associates will be attending the summit.

It will be addressed of the unexploited oil and mineral opportunities in Somaliland and how they will be exploited.

It was previously announced that Somaliland president Mr. Silanyo leading a delegation of ministers and business associates will be in attendance.

The meeting is about to chaired by former British politicians, economists, and diplomats who served in UK politics.

Former Minister for Africa Hon. Henry Bellingham and Mr. Roger Martin are those who are running the summit.

Silanyo is said to meet with oil exploration firms and he is supposed to hold talks pertaining to benefit from the mineral and oil laden country in the Horn of Africa.
